PVW Rundown

[OOC] I've been around this hobby for a long time. I've opened and losed feds, but met a lot of good guys in the game in the mean time. This is pretty much an open invitation for anyone that wants to giveanother Bell federation a run. I always strive for the success I had with AWMC, but the truth was a lot of people stepped up and made that happen. We will see how PVW goes.. I was attempting to bring something back earlier this year, but this past year I have been riddled with health issues and a few surgeries.

I appear fully healthy and ready to give this another go. Who knows it could turn out to be something fun.

[IC] Wresting federations pop up all around the world. Most don't last, but for the time they are open they bring a little joy to the area's they are involved in. This brings us to Phoenix, Arizona. Some local investors put their backing into the brainchild of Dex Willingham. Dex grew up in Texas and wrestling was in his blood until he became to busy for it with his traveling sales company. Now retired and bored living in a nice fancy home in sunny Arizona he found himself hooked again watching the wild world of wrestling. Being the salesman that he is. Dex was able to drum support and financial backing to bring a taste of traditional wrestling to Phoenix, Arizona. FYI.. This fed is a traditional style regional federation. A german suplex is a impact move, a cage match is a big deal, a chair shot hurts like a mother [bleeper], and stories are based on competition. All matches will have some sort of time limit to work with the allotted air time we are allowed. So keep that in mind when apping as that is the atmosphere we are trying to create.

NPCs

Owner:

  • Dex Willingham - His background for the most part was just stated in the section above. Dex is always at the show and willing to smooth talk investors, but he wants the wrestlers to make this show special. So he keeps off camera as much as possible.

Announcers:

  • PBP - Chip Lester, An early 30's exciting up and coming PBP man in the industry.
  • Color - "Putter" Preston Winfield, Preston life goal is to become a PGA announcer. He applied with the PGA to work as a analyst to get his feet wet, but they turned him down to not having any broadcasting experience at all. Preston spent a few years trying to get with any broadcast, but was turned down for younger talent. At 40 years old he was losing all hope and ran into an add for PVW. Not knowing a thing about wrestling, Preston applied and to his amazement got the job!

Ring Announcer:

  • Herk Douglas - He has been dubbed the Voice. He has a low booming voice that worked almost too perfect.

Back Stage Interviewer:

  • 'Swingin' Dean Hayes - A local favorite DJ that also happens to be a wrestling fanatic, took this on as a second job to be in the mix.

Referees:

  • Max Kelly
  • Duke Martin
  • Jay O'Riley

Titles

  • Heavyweight Championship Belt: The main belt in PVW. Defended on all Supercards and every once in awhile on the shows.
  • Rising Phoenix Heritage Belt: The #2 belt in the company.. Defended every few shows.
  • Phoenix Tag Team Titles: I love tag teams and if we get enough interest we will use this puppy.

Shows

Main Show (bi-weekly): Heatwave
There will be a few Supercards spread into the year. Right now there isn't a set schedule for these.

Expectations

The plan is for this to be a bi-weekly federation for the most part with a few Supercards sprinkled in. Participation and activity is key for this to work. If you can lend a hand writing that of course would be appreciated and will make things go all the more smoother. Basically you will get out of this project what you put into it. I can't force you to participate, but we all benefit if you do.
